laptop cosie

one of my friends asked me to make a vaio cosie. she gave me the dimensions. i made one. it's huge! it's as big as a pillow you sit on. maybe it's just because i'm not used to looking at bigger laptop as i use the smallest macbook. maybe it's my math skill. it's really hard to make something for things you don't have. one time i made a cape for my friend's dog. didn't work so well. when i made something for my friend's baby, didn't work so well either. i don't have neither.

but, when i'm making something that i'm not comfortable with, i feel like as i'm in project runway challenge! it can be fun. i was watching the runway show re-run marathon last night while i was making this.

new sewing desk!!

finally i got my sewing desk over the weekend. buh-bye ikea computer desk!! no more bobbins-on-keyboard-tray. now i need a real chair...

i started this blanket to make some space of my yarn bins... my goal is to finish it by this fall. it's really hard to understand the borderline of "retro" and "granny".

super bowl sunday

on superbowl sunday, i went to alemany flea market with my mister who really wanted to watch superbowl. when we got there it started to rain so we had to run back in to the car and drove back home. when we got back, what did we see? blue sky. my mister totally thinks it was a SIGN. whatevz. we were cheering for the giants, he cooked *really* good burger that night, so all is good.
